Tiling an ensuite shower room help!
Hi,
I have a small ensuite shower room lined with new gypsum plasterboard and I'm thinking of tiling (250 x 330 x 7) using Mapei Mapegrip D2 tile adhesive with KERACOLOR FF grout.
Will this be enough to provide a waterproof seal?
Thanks

Re: Tiling an ensuite shower room help!
Hi,
I just finishing up my ensuite in which I to tiled onto Gypsum plasterboard.
My advise to you would to tank it out using Mapegum and Mapeband which will provide a waterproof seal.
Not cheap but good.

I was looking at the Mapei waterproofing kit...It's just that I'm just trying to cut costs (if possible).
What adhesive did you use?

Re: Tiling an ensuite shower room help!
I contacted Mapei UK Tech support (very helpful on all aspects of the job) and was advised to use Keraflex Maxi for my situation.
Wall and floor with large format tiles
The grout is ultra colour plus.
Give them a call they will give you best advise.
As for cutting corners... could turn out expensive if you have to pull all the tiles of again because of a leak....
Would be so bad if you were using a waterproof backer board but...
