Been tiling nearly 30 years and never heard of it.Never been short of work and always earned a good living.Very little site site work.95 per cent of my work is private customers.What can this organization do for me?

Well done mate. Do you have a tiling NVQ or similar? I guess that would prove to the customers AND the contractors that you're not just in the trade for a while and would give confidence like no other.

It costs £ 175 a year plus vat ( if your under the vat threshold ) and the only thing you get out of it as far as i can see is 2 million liability cover and the tile &stone journal mag when ever it comes out....and a listing on there website....

So.... in a nutshell, you get a £90 insurance policy for £175 plus VAT..... bargain.

As for being or getting "one up on other tilers".... what ever floats your boat I guess

These associations are only here to take your MONEY !!!
They are not set up by some charitable individual who wants to be a do-gooder for tilers !!!
Pay your money / get some insurance you could have got cheaper elsewhere / get a logo -
