im tiling a bathroom and in the corner theres a post sticking out and if i start at the corner and work back to the wall the tile just falls short by about 20mm. Any ideas? all i can think of is spliting it down the middle and putting in 2 cuts. its only just bigger than 1 tile and i really dont want to put a wee slither in

Try centering the wall , never just start in a corner

Re: ?????
yeah i no but its not a full wall just a post thats only just larger than my tile so i was going to start at the trim basicly, still think put 2 cuts in?

Re: ?????
do you mean a boxing in the corner? move your tiles along so you even the gap at both ends. never start with a full tile on one end. it won't look right and chances are the wall will be out and you may end up with a gap at the top

Re: ?????
yeah its a boxing, so just cente the tile and have an even gap at each side rather than cuts?

Re: ?????
i don't understand, you can either centre the tile or the grout line but there should be no gaps or slithers. as i said move the tiles along your line till it looks right/best
