    Default size of tile

started a job today, once i pulled down the tiles that were already there i realised there was wall paper under neath, took me all day to get it off. was going to do a wall before i left but the adhesive was only covering the edges (250mm x 400mm tiles) so i stoped, do i just need bigger trowel than my 6mm notched?

Sounds like the tiles are bowed?
Probably a good idea to back butter the tiles too.
    And a bigger notch too.

Yeah, use an 8 or 10mm trowel and back butter.
