I have rather a large job and I know I will need ditra for the floor with manifold UFH, however upstairs in the wetrooms, where it is overboarded, cable, ... -

I have rather a large job and I know I will need ditra for the floor with manifold UFH, however upstairs in the wetrooms, where it is overboarded, cable, mapei 2 part slc, will I need it here ?
Where can I get Ditra at a decent price to make some on ? cheers

I would recommend it there too boosha. Try one of our forum sponsors PHG, they're based at Shildon so not too far from you really. Is the ground floor a gypsum screed?

I would always advise a decoupler under Trav on a floor with UFH.

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to add that not all of the area is floor ! maybe 60m2...
I dont know whether it is a gypsum screed...I will have to find out...
I've been in touch with PHG and they are going to accomodate my needs with some ci+

the tape is for waterproofing, so not essential in a dry area, you stick it down with rapid set flexi adhesive

I thought the tapping was necesarry, or do you need to make sure a joint doesnt start where two sheets meet running paralel with the joint had a joint crack a while pack on Ditra over ply bang on where the sheets were not taped some gt1 sorted it and the tiles where fine. will not make that mistake again.

For 60m2 i paid £402 for Ditra which i thought was excellent
