Default Anyone know anything about brick cleaning

Doing a job this weekend terrazzo stairs, but the guy has asked me if i could clean up some of his brick work, i said i would have a go, is it as simple as getting into it with a wire brush and some brick cleaner from b and q it looks as if it was done years ago and the guys not cleaned it right, so theres quite a bit of morta on the face of the brick.

just make sure you keep it nice and wet, and rinse off well, as it can discolour the bricks if left on too long. any cleaner with muriatic acid will be the best. get a good pair of rubber gloves too.
