Apologies if this is a repeat thread but not sure what happened to last one. Have searched forum for help before posting this. Need to tile over window header and was hoping for some advise. Do i need to support the tiles whilst the adhesive dries out. Substrate is new plywood does it need priming ?
Any help/advise would be gratefully received.
Yes I could not easy but possible... but you gave me pause for thought.
I thought I was doing the right thing by using marine ply but turns out not. Posted another thread re-marine ply as I have boarded the floor in 18mm marine and one shower wall in 12mm marine ply... hope I haven't dropped a big one...
As long as the ply is 15mm or thicker and well fixed just use a powdered flexible adhesive, depends on which brand of adhesive you use if it needs priming or not(read the instructions)as long as you apply the adhesive to the plywood with a suitable notched trowel and then backbutter the tile, push the tile into the adhesive well, it should,nt need holding up with anything, hope this helps.
