    Default Public liability insurance?

    Hi there everyone its coming to the scary time of finishing college and getting a few offers of jobs and i wan't to do everything right, so i was going to sort some public liability out but was wondering what i should be looking at cover wise and how much i should be looking to pay. I'll be working on my own and residential. Cheers for the input guys.

    i pay, as a tiler, just tiling £62 a year for 2 million pound cover

    yeh mines with direct line, but theres 100s of other companys out there, just read the small prints lol thats where they seem to hide things like no tool cover , & no use of electrical tools etc

    good luck mark joining the big bad world of self employment.its a huge learning curve,so dont worry we are all still learnig.as an unfortunate who has had an insurance liability claim in a 16th, cent farmhouse make sure you tell the insurance co all the questions they ask truthfully.if you dont understand anything ask them it will be recorded.i was covered but take note its not new for old.comercial cover will take wear and tear into consideration.ie £1000 claim with33% wear tear pays out only £666 and you have to make up the rest.dont panic its normal but be aware.best of luck in your future .
