How NOT to tile a bathroom

When asked if I could finish another tilers work I was a bit hesitant. Everything had been finished except the bathbox which took some serious strengthening work. Since the floor tiles weren't fixed properly the bathbox surely failed and a ful rip out and re-tile was in order...

There are some lousy tilers out there. If I am having work done I try not to be a nuisance. Drinks at 8am. 11am. 3am. I do like to see what is going on though. It doesn't matter what the job is. Looking at this I can see why I do it.

The customer was an absolute gem, its such a shame everything had to be ripped out and done again. I literally pulled the tiles off in the shower area with my hands (this is the kids bathroom)!!

Just realised I dont have an after pic, I shall take some when I call back...

It's a disgrace, but they do end up in the hands of professional tilers in the end. Shame the customer has to pay twice.....

Total waste of underfloor heating too! I considered trying to keep it intact when the tiles came up so easily but it was never going to happen!

The bathbox had been built from 2x2" and 2x1" and pinned down, not fixed to either wall in any way. I had to rip it out and replace with 3x2" with hardi backer, doesn't move a millimetre now!!
