Re: primer /sbr
SBR (StyreneButadiene Rubber)
theres many uses and many ratios on which you'd dilute it or use it neat.
it doesnt break down in water sensitive areas in the way that pva does.
it can be used neat as a bonding agent or diluted to suit the substrate.
hope this helps a bit with your enquiry

Re: primer /sbr
Sbr is rock solid and I have never been let down by it.

im looking to use it on old brickwork blockwork when ripping out prior to dot and dabbing for tiling, so the dabs not sticking to the dusty background, ill strip all old plaster ,good sweep off then sbr ,or can i just stabalize it with uni bond/pva,or not bother with either ?

Re: primer /sbr
certainly do not use pva in any form. when you say dot and dabbing is that for plasterboard?

Re: primer /sbr
As above, if you are dot and dabbing plasterboard just damp the areas your fixing to.
