A lesson in customer service

Ordered Pearl Mapeidesign epoxy grout with gold glitter from Tile Giant a week before due to complete the job this was required for (not stock item - order direct from Mapei).

The order got confused, and I was supplied with gold Mapeidesign with no glitter - and I was left with one very unhappy client to advise.

Phoned Tile Giant - they immediately traced the required goods in stock at another branch 40 miles away - and member of staff delivered goods to my local branch the next day. And thats a Bank Holiday weekend too.

We all make mistakes from time to time - and Tile Giant clearly made a mistake on my order. What really counts is how they went the extra mile to rectify the mistake, and I was still able to complete the job this weekend, and my customer was ecstactic (until I gave her the bill for the grout ).

I am much like everyone else - always ready to shout loud about poor customer service from Tile retailers, so its nice to take the chance to say thanks guys for your efforts to sort out the problem, great service.
