Tub surround?
I am getting ready to tile my bathtub surround. When I tore out the old tub I put Hardie backerboard directly to the framing studs with no vapor barrier. I assume I need to use some kind of waterproof membrane over the Hardie board? What is the suggested product to use?
Thanks

Re: Tub surround?
I guess I could, it's just that everything is so square and pretty right now I hate to take the board down. I would never get it back up as neat and clean as it is now.
I'm in Micky Mouse's back yard, Orlando Florida. How did you know I was in the US?

Re: Tub surround?
Yeah I figured it was some terminology I used. You know Y'all talk funny too. When I raise the hood of my car you raise the bonnet.

Re: Tub surround?
If you use a tanking solution then no vapour from ingression will effect the cavity of the wall..
