Default Glass splashback and tiles in kitchen

I'm starting a job tmw...where the customer wants a glass splashback which will be cut to size in in the cooker hood area then tiles on either side...

I'm not sure how thick the glass splashback is, but the tiles are 9.5mm plus 4mm apprx adhesive..apprx 14mm total. How will I bring the glass splashback out level with the tiles if need be?

adhesive bed 4mm...i'll be using 6mm trowell...1/4 inch?

Phil I take it that is rapid set white and won't show through glass? also how much of a gap should be left between glass splashback and tiles and what should it be filled with?

Yes that is the notch size but you press the tiles into this bed and compress it down to around 2mm.. so not as much build out.. Sometimes i have used a square edge metral trim either side of the glass splash back if already installed.

Ok...this will be in the cooker hood area glass cut to size...it will partly be surrounded by cabinets...i'm thinking grout the gap or seal with same colour sealant but this may look odd?

Nice one phil thats exactly the way i will do it...unfortunately the units are partly in the way so will have to screed between tiles...wait for that to go off then run off that to screed between units...all extras though, will take my time to get it flat!

Nice one, if you notch your screed out the thickness of your glass, then allow for the adhesive you will be fine. Good luck mate
