Sealer smell
Hi
Just sealed one wall (of 4 plus floor) with LTP mattstone natural finish. Gotta say what smell and it won't go away. Got the window wide open extract fan on still won't budge.
Any tricks of the trade, old wifes tales anything, cause I've got to do the whole bathroom to do twice phew....
I also need a really good and not to expensive face mask for this stuff.
Thanks
cheers
Stu

Re: Sealer smell
try slicing a lemon into slices (that just sounds weird) fill a bowl or saucer with warm water place slices in water then place bowl near room

Re: Sealer smell
Buy a water based sealer then no solvent smell.

Re: Sealer smell
It will go when it is dry..LOL.. IMO Solvent based sealer's are tops over water based as the solvent is the carrier of the sealant and i think they do a much better job.. quicker.. But water based are great for areas that the solvent smell can be a H&S issue.. Saturation of the stone is the key element when sealing and solvent based will do this quicker and easier..IMO..

Re: Sealer smell
I really like the smell of LTP's mattstone sealer
It does go away once dried though

Second that..... I love all LTP sealers. Open windows during the day and it will be gone by Monday
