| write nothing and just be smug in the fact that you are higher up the food chain than a bottom feeding plumber.
Look what the last plumber left for me: http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...4102007059.jpg

| He was a "mate" of the homeowner! The plastic elbows stuck out about 1/2" from the wall surface so he had to come back and use yorkshire instead. He was WELL cheesed off with me for being so unwilling!
I made it all good in the end though. Contractors foam and aquaboard before you ask....
I still think we should come up with some good replies for Enduro's new best friend though.
My suggestion; leave him a polaroid of your a*se! (then again he might take it as a come-on!)

| simply write, " the tiles i`ve laid have been checked for marks and chips, if there are any in them YOU will be charged!"
this should be scratched into the bath surface with your rustiest screwdriver.
maybe not eh? | | |

maybe not eh?
No need to sink to his level...just be careful to get your tiling nice and plumb.Use your best skills and plenty of elbow grease, if you have to bend over backwards for the customer, then do. When you have achieved the perfect job, without damage..the plumber will see his note was a waste of time.I was right when I was lead to believe...that with such an influx of new tilers that we all have to be always at full concentration..I couln't stay silent on this topic,I just had to pipe up. At the end of the day, this guy is stressed .....maybe he should smoke a joint and chill out:sifone:. This time next week it will all be water under the bridge and you will be able to laugh about it.....until then take your time and keep your eye on the ballcock.....:toilet::toilet: |

| I would like to answer with a post like Gaz has "do not sink to his level" but i can't.
I would ask the homeowner who the plumber is and i would honestly be at his house in 2 minutes, i would knock the prick into next week. Cheeky get is basically speaking down to you. I would be LIVID!

From a Plumber's opinion here, that is the most shocking plumbing I have ever seen!!
That doesn't even reach DIY standard......
Unbeleivable. Quote:

wouldn't cause that much of a problem to alter back into working order, but would have inconveinienced the plumber having to come back and look a nob for apparantly not doing something so simple correctly in the first place. | Tiling NVQ and Tiling Courses
