hi darren do you have a glass job coming up if so what size are the tiles

i have done a few jobs with glass, make sure your wet cutting blade is compatible for glass for starters...grinders wont be any good either

use a white cement based addy, comb onto the wall and flatten of the ribs with the flat side of trowel so when you fix your tile the shade from ribs on addy doesnt show through your glass

have a bucket of water handy to dip your hands in after wet cuts....dont rub hands e3tc after wet cutting the glass splinters can be annoying

try to avoid small cuts, this is standard anyway buy even harder doing intricate thin cuts using glass

    hope this helps a bit

thanks for the reply kitty55,i may be doing another couple in the non too distant,i too have done a few glass jobs and have allways used a diamond blade in my wet cutter,it still used to splint out at the back a bit,and yes i did fall pray to the odd cut from the glass splinters,i didnt have to add a white addmixture as the adhesive was white for the glass tiles, and yes the glass tiles didnt have a backing on them,as some that i have fitted have had a type of foil back so that you dont have to flatten out the combing so that you dont see the adhesive behind,i also do try to avoid small cuts, allthough when walls arent square and plumb sometimes you have no choice,so thanks for the input kitty55 for confirming a few things there,i sometimes get frustrated when i no i havent got the right tool for the job, after speaking to the guy from tradetiler about wether it was ok to buy a mosaic matt and use it with one of my rubi cutters, which niether would have been suitable,as the breaking system on them werent ideal,he said the montolit has a smaller breaking system better suited to mosaics,so i was wondering what is the biggest size mosaic sheets come in,so i no what size montolit dry cutter to get,and is there a specific wet cutting machine for glass?
