I used to repair/ renovate sash windows full time and went through a phase of collecting old tools. Met a retired cabinet maker, guy was approx 80 and went to a car booty once a month. He had a great collection of old hand tools e.g. planes, hags tooth, chisels and even pedal operated grinders.
I bought something every month and have a good collection of old joinery tools I got some old marples chisels (the real marples before Irwin started to trade with the name) robert sorby chisels and some cabinet makers srewdrivers etc. I like the look of the older hand tools with the hard wood handles and brass ferules etc.
Some of the tools this guy had were worth a few bob to collectors too!

I have a wooden carpenters box which I made in 1998. Lol
Real good condition still.
Oh and well made too with dovetail corners etc.
