Default ufh mat on floorboards under stone slab.

Hi y'all, just a quick question - about to quote for a tiny e/s and am prepping the floor before a single slab of stone is fitted. Manky floorboards are not level so the plan is to level them up with latex, sit the ufh mat in this, cover up level and let the stone boys at it. Question is does a decoupling membrane need to be between floor and ufh mat. Floor is a little over 1m2 and not sure yet which type of stone is to be laid. Cheers

For such a small job I would be inclined to rip the "manky" boards up and re lay a good piece of 18 - 25mm ply and make it level while I was at it. Could check the joists too while you were at it.

I tend to agree with y'all about that and it is my preferred method but not my ultimate decision, the consensus was that over such a small area 1m2 much screwing and latex slc and addy would do the trick. The buck not stopping with me on this one.
