What really gets my goat !

What gets my goat is going onto the " looking for a tiler " forum and taking a job with a Forums Arms member. 6 x 6 whites housing association stuff with a mist coat for primer and Nicobond as addy not much per meter and loads of sockets to cut around in kitchen blah blah blah. Do this nicely and get sent to the site from hell, nothing there - go back to previous for more but none there either ! Invoice in three weeks ago still not paid, not answering phone, not replying to texts, and he is still posting jobs available on the forum. I know times are tough but.......
I may not be that fast, I may not be the best fixer in the world but does anyone deserve this ?

Yes Dan, that is the bottom line. I didn't want to start a flipping witch hunt, I was just wondering what annoys people most. I will wait another while before, perhaps, naming and shaming but for all I know he may have gotten injured and in no position to respond. Anyhow I know where he lives and that avenue can be explored first of all.

Hope you get it sorted, nothing more frustrating than not been able to get money for work that you have done, its happened to all of us at some stage ( usually happens when your most depending on it. )
As to what gets on my wick....I used to hate snag lists on site jobs. Lugging all your gear from house to house to fix where the plumber has gone kango happy on the wall or floor tiles...always a great start to a Monday...

what use to get on my goat , was driving to a site , new build housing, go in the plot and nothing was fitted
and site agent would say , well i never booked it it, right i thought id just turn up on of chance it was ready
so i would hit them with a bill for an aborted visit

to lazy to check that plot was ready or check with plumber

So called tradesmen that don't man-up and admit when they've damaged a tile, bath or tray, then try and blame the tiler for it.....

We'll take the old tiles off ourselves and do all the prep work for you, it'll be ready to tile on when you arrive. Course it will!!!
