Default Do you lose much heat through a tiled wall??

    Hey up,

Basically a customer is having an external wall in his bathroom tiled. Its back to brick at the moment and he is thinking about having it dry lined with thermal backed plasterboards instead of just normal plasterboards. They are 25mm plus the plasterboard itself. He had his hall stairs and landing done with these and it keeps the heat in his house just lovely so he reckons.

So my question is do you lose much heat through a tiled wall? Im just thinking that the tiles will keep the heat in?????????????

    any advice. thanks

Tiles will not keep heat in.. Thermal boards is the way to go if required.

The thermal plasterboard will reduce condensation on the tiles also...

I agree with Dave, I reckon the customer should do this if walls are not insulated.
