| personal preference i suppose,but if using cut tile could maybe leave you with shoddy cuts at end of new wall so need to check when setting out,rapping round the wall should reduce waste also. | | |

| Need to revise my phrasing slightly on my previous post, I was taught to carry around to the next wall in brick bond the equivelant of a full tile after the cut. Obviously, the walls may not be plumb so the off-cut may not follow the line of the wall. cutting a new tile to the same size as the off cut would give the impression that the tile had been carried around.

| Spot on grouter you could use the offcut and trim a small cut off so keeping wasteage down or use another tile. With brickbond you have to set out twice which doubles the chances of a small cut and sometimes it is unavoidable so best to pick the best place in the room where it is least noticable. | | |
