    Default Edge Trim

I have bought some tiles at last for the utility room. I have a bit of an issue at the door threshold to the outside passage. As I have had to level the floor by about 15mm I have now not got enough room to put the tiles and the addy down in the threshold without breaching the height of the door bar. This means I have a choice. I can either get a peice of angle iron and fix a new Door bar to the outside of the frame which I would then grout up to to hide the edge of the tile, or I could leave the edge of the tile open and showing which I think would look horrible, or alternatively I could look for a specialist tile trim to do the job. I have looked in tile giant and topps and a few independents but cannot find an edge trim which I think would stand up to the long term rigours of being in a door threshold. Is there one.

I am favouring the angle iron option at the moment.......

Nope - still not there guys - it has to form the outside edge of the tile face at the point where the door threshold meets the outside. Needs to act like a flood bar to keep out the rain and also to protect the side edge of the tile. the door is outwards opening so it also has to be strong enough to withstand the mrs when she slams the door in her temper cos she just tripped over the lip in the tiles.........only joking
