Default Setting out floor tiles

Hi i am planning to tile my bathroom floor with a diagonal pattern in the main centre area with a border round the edge square to the wall , is it best practice to tile the diagonal area first then to tile the border or tile the border first and tile up to that with the diagonal pattern hope it makes sense

Regards Dave

First the diagonal centre, then the outside field tile area,if border tile is to seat against skirts lay them down and cut field tiles to suit the shape....loads of care when marking out.....Gaz

hi dave mate..fix your border tiles in first and then cut to this...much easier to get accurate cuts if you have a tile ( border ) to cut too........and welcome to forums also..
