Tiling On Plasterboard
Hi Guys
Jut had a call from a job im ment to be starting next week , The walls are all new green plasterboad that have been fixed to batons that are fixed to the brick walls all seems straight foward ,
only problems is, i have been told by the lady that the batons are at 400 centres and they have 250 x 300 cermic tiles , is this a big problem as batton should be at 300 centres.
Will be using webber SPF to fix the tiles
Many Thanks
John

Hi mate,
I think you are confused with screw centres.
Screws are reccomended to be fixed at 300mm centres across studs and noggins.
With wall construction you will find that studs are spaced at either 400mm or 600mm centres.
As long as there is adequate support by means of noggings etc then you should be fine.
