hi i recently posted on the guest thread about doing a friends house with tavertine tiles just wondering b4 i start can anyone suggest a good angle grinder (cheap lol)would a stone disc do or does it need to be diamond tipped?thanks everyone on there reply its been so helpful

I got a good deal on a hitachi grinder at screwfix and got a diamond wheel free with it

Hi and welcome..
Not every cutting disc will cut stone successfully .. I prefer to use a fluted type turbo wheel.. not cheap but makes cutting easier and neater.

you can use a cheep grinder but you need a good diamond blade.

I picked up a Duro blade for my 4" the other week and was pretty good for the money
