I need a stone sealer which will leave a gloss finish. Is there one available. It is for sealing Gypsum so I gues it would need several coats.....all experimental so any other ideas to leave a gloss finish on gyspum would also be welcome.

I'm intrigued as to the nature of your experiment Al, do share!
.....

Only Topical sealer will leave a sheen or shine..
LTP iron wax Satin or Iron wax gloss.. Tile giant should sell it or you can order direct from LTP site.

But ... SBR will leave a sheen on gypsum..

Funny you should say that Dave i put some on a plaster wall on friday and the customer liked the look of it....

Its for a display stand where we are putting some Gyvlon screed on the floor and leaving it exposed but sealing it with a sealer. Needs to be shiny so it looks pretty is all. No Gisella it's not casting plaster. It needs to be foot trafficable by lots of people during a 3 day exhibition.

Will look into the Tile Giant stuff Thanks Dave. I am guessing that with it being gypsum and this being a natural stone it will respond similar to travertine...........we will see.....

SBR Alan.. 3-1 and about 4 coats and it will shine like a S house door... but careful not to skin it.

Problem is Dave not sure SBR I think will not take the traffic without becoming nasty and scuffed whereas I think a sealer would take the traffic better. Will probably give both a go though and see what happens....

3 days Al.. not 3 weeks.... best to try and see which gives what..

Will only be 3 days Dave but there will be around 100000 people attending across the 3 days so quite a few feet ...... at least that's the hope.

What about a concrete sealer Concrete Sealer - Watco floor sealers
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"

yeah, sbr wont last very long with that volume of footfall..
i really like lithofin sealers.....may something like lithofin mn slate-seal would be what your looking for?
I used the slate-seal on my bathroom floor and found a single coat gave a nice sheen while a second coat made it almost a gloss. Both coats were generous - make sure there is no pooling or streaks and it can be laid pretty thick in my experience.
