hi guys when i read about screwing down ply every one says a measurement and then centers what does this centers mean ???
Screwing at 6 inch centres means a screw every 6 inches in every direction. So right around the edge first (where I used to start) and then every 6 inches from them into the middle of the board. If you end up with one row of screws 4 inches apart on the last row, so be it. Don't leave it 10 inches which is what it would be in this case.
Screwing boards down requires (I THINK PLEASE CHECK THIS - LADS?) 300mm centres, so about a foot. Every screw is 300mm from the last both in width and length.
