just a thought
in all my years tiling on and running some of the most priestliest tiling/marble projects in the world
no one has ever asked to see my qualifications
funny that init
im not sure if thats good or bad in this day and age

ive seen jobs advertised for NVQ assessors 23 k p/a
they must be really wealthy guys to take such a wage drop

I saw this happen years ago in the farming game, the powers that be decided that to become a farm manager and get ahead in the game then you had to get a qualification. In effect sons and daughters were going away to learn off guys who had degrees about how to farm their way while leaving the people who could actually teach them at home.

The books read " if a cow is in trouble calving call the vet "......£100--you pay the vet the vet pays the drug companies and the drug companies have the reps on the board who decide you should get a qualification.


Pretty soon everyone was farming using methods taught in colleges and real farmers were getting fewer, you cant learn a trade from a book and if you think you can it will cost you as it did the farmers


Take a step back and ask yourself who it is that really benefits from a piece of paper you hold in the chain of events.........
