thank you mate, would normally use Ardex x7 white, as for grout not quite sure, so many say suitable for swimming pools but how suitable are they?

You cant go wrong with Ardex adhesive and grouts, they produce superb products.
As for prep work to the render have you seen it and if so does it require any work?

The rendering and screeding hasn't been done yet, i'm thinking 4-6 wks drying time?

The strongest grout i have ever seen is mappei ultracolour.Just dont make the mistake of not washing it off properly.
