Joints less than 1mm
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of any grout for joints of less than 1mm or if not, what is the finest grout available in charcoal or grey?
If grout simply isn't an option does anyone know of any brush on waterproof kind of sealer which wont change the appearence of slate tiles too much but will fill these 0.5 mm ish wide joints? I guess I need something which will form some kind of skin over the tiles?
Thanks for all advice in advance

Re: Joints less than 1mm
Have you thought about resin filling the joints? You've set yourself up for some hard work.

Re: Joints less than 1mm
I hadn't thought about that no! What kind of resin would you suggest?
Hard work I know. Should have thought about that at the start really I suppose!

Re: Joints less than 1mm
Not sure what would work. British Standards says minimum joint for walls is 2mm and floor 3mm. So the manufacturers sort of work to that.
Not sure if an epoxy would do it? What's the minimum you can go with that?

Re: Joints less than 1mm
walls. These mosaics come ready made in a slab of about 5 strips of the mosaic together from the manufacturer so not much I can do about that.
Any ideas what the finest grout available is anyone?

Re: Joints less than 1mm
TH4.jpgThis is a contract on with 1mm jointing, we tried a load of diff types of grout, in the end we filled with akimi and then spun it off afterwards, it works well but its a long tiresome process.
