shower tray ideas
i have a number of bathrooms to tile in a new build.
one shower is having no tray, due too builder issues and head height etc etc.
im looking for suggestions to form a base (i wont be doing this).
i have mentioned the possibility of getting it formed with hand laid granite or a resin and stone mix or maybe even a vinyl.
they do not want mosaic or spliced tiling.
the tray is about 1mt by 1mt with a cut off front (triangle tray).
just looking too give some ideas really.

You do get flush fitting trays and slimline ones. What is the floor made from.

Re: shower tray ideas
thanks stewart,
the floor is concrete, no tray will fit as it has had 2 wings to make the shower area bigger and accommodate the door they have paid a lot of money for.
it has to be screeded/latexed to get falls, then tiled (they dont want) or vinyl or i had thought maybe resin with aggregate, but they cant find anyone local to do that.
it seems like vinyl and upstand will be the answer, just thought someone here might have some other ideas.

Vinyl is hideous I would try and sway them to tile and show them some pics of a few wetrooms that have been done properly. As for resin, I don't know of anyone that does it, so can't help there.

Re: shower tray ideas
the tray area can only be tiled in mosaic, they dont want mosaic, tiles would be very bitty.
the trap is 200mm off one of the sides and around 400mm from the other, so the falls and tiles wont look great imo.
they should have gone for a tray, but bought a door first doh.
thanks anyway stewart...................
