Re: Bathroom tiling queries
threshold strip and silicon round the the bath Freyanne, looks far better. Leave a 2-3mm gap between tiles and bath so the silicon will fill this gap.

Re: Bathroom tiling queries
You say that the hallway is oak flooring Freyanne, are you intending to tile directly over this?

Re: Bathroom tiling queries
diamond tiling, I'm tiling the bathroom floor which meets the hallway floor in the doorway. Bathroom floor is concrete.
Thanks for the advice everyone. Got a threshold strip today so I can finish the floor this evening. Will probably have to internet order the karl dham kit. Fingers crossed I can find a supplier that doesn't charge silly money to post something to NI. :-)

www.tradetiler.co.uk a sponsor of the site sells them. Go into Siliconing/sealers and primers on his site you will see them.

Re: Bathroom tiling queries
Thanks mikethetile. I've ordered a Karl Dahm silicone kit. Do I need corner tape as well?
I bought an oak effect MDF threshold today and have fixed the base of it in place already. I may upgrade to a custom made one at a later stage, that does sound nice.
All the floor tiles are laid now, hallelujah!

Re: Bathroom tiling queries
Thanks for that 365 drills - I have finished my floor and though your product would have been very useful for the pipes I had to make do without. I was fairly lucky that my rad pipes and the pipe for the cistern were at the edges of tiles so I was able to grind approximate circles for them. I'll definitely keep the product in mind again. :-)

Re: Bathroom tiling queries
My wall tiles are 25 x 40 ceramic and I'm laying them grid bond. Would you recommend 3mm or 4mm spacing?

Upload your snaps to any picture handling site. (I use facebook!) right click on the mouse to copy the link of the photo.
Click that square box above and then follow the instructions in this picture below:

Thats how it works on this site.

Re: Bathroom tiling queries
Just thinking 365drills - the kit you recommended includes diamond tipped drill bits for drilling tiles, yes? If so can you
recommend a UK based internet supplier as I'll need to drill the floor tiles for the bath panel fixings. Thanks.
That would be us!
Thats what we do / sell

We stock over 37 different size diamond core drills for drilling holes into very hard porcelain tiles.
