| Tiling an Internal Step | | Hello Guys, I've got a kitchen floor to tile which leads into a porch, but I have a problem with a small step (3 inches roughly) which seperates the rooms, do I tile to the edge of the step and leave it like that or do I tile the vertical part of the step. also when the floor is tiled the top of the step will have a rough edge where the tile has been cut, how would I tidy it up? | | |

#2 | | Tilersforums Black Prince | Re: Tiling an Internal Step | | A metal step trim would be better here as it will take ware n tear from being stepped on at the edge, or mitre cut both tiles, one leading upto the fall, and the fall tile, that way you have no rough edges. | |

| Re: Tiling an Internal Step | | There are two types of trim you could use, a right angle piece to protect the edge of the tile or a proper designed stair nosing. Look at Homepage - Schlüter-Systems and have a look in the TREP section, its all stair nosings. | | |
