in these times i'll do anything, but in ideal world it's bathroom walls.

both for me Dave, but if I had an order of preference it would probably be;
1) bathroom walls
2) kitchen floors
3) kithen splashbacks
4) bathroom floors

Walls for me !! i hate floors and so does my back and knees.....
Dave (28-09-2010)
Here's another who only does floors, Dave. However I do vinyl tile and hardwood as well. If a customer has something like a splashback as well as the floor to be done I will accomodate them. I used to tile walls, it's just I'm not as quick as I'd like to be on them. Maybe I like gravity on my side.

Could do floors all day every day - despite the knees creaking. Don't know if it's because I'm a short Glaswegian but hate climbing up and down to do the tops of walls...

My preference is floors, not so much gravity problems![]()

Every kind of tiling for me, providing it's challenging. I love doing victorian/ geometric floors, large format walls, big industrial power vibro jobs, kitchen splash backs. You name it, I like it. Maybe I'm just sad, oh, and marble, and granite, travertine, mosaic, slate, porcelain, ceramics, quarries, glass tiles, limestone, sandstone, twin tiles, conglomerates, terrazzo. quarundums, apart from these, not really fussed.NB. to self, must get a life

I'll tile anything, but i have a pet hate for mosaic's and most things commercial. You cant beat the look on a customers face when they see their completed job for the first time.

I love a good floor, pref marble, the bigger the better. I also like a lovely staircase.

Oh, if only tiling only involved walls waist hight up I'd be a happy bunny, I'd do a lot more 'normal' tiling! Dicky knees means no floor work for me apart from the odd one off. Luckily artistic mosaics can be made at home at my worktable, no problems thereWe all have to go with what we are good at

i'll tile most walls floors but the only dislike i have is kitchen splashbacks. small tiles, fiddly around the windows and usually a nice new kitchen in to be carefull of. was doing one yesterday![]()

as Mr Campbell says i find it quicker to put down 30 mts on a floor than 30 mtrs on a wall and they are the same price to me even though the floor will cost you a lot more in materials but take a lot less time so more money in the end

dont mind![]()

prefer floors

I prefer commercial work to domestic, if its a wetroom from scratch then I am in my element.
Large floors in natural stone are another favourite.

dont mind but large floors is were the money is .natural stone is most rewarding

If its big an flat...I will tile anything!!! Prefer to do bathroom walls with a bit of one off design involved. Don't like kitchens so much...too many plugs and I keep smacking ma heed on the pelmet or cooker hood.....![]()
