Default BS5385 -Where can I access a copy?

    Hi Folks

I am trying to access/get hold of a copy of BS5385, but do not want to pay the £170 that BS want. It annoys me that we are oblidged to comply with them, but then have to pay through the teeth to read them. Does anyone know how/where I can see them? If anyone has a soft copy I can see please pm me. Cheers.

You can view them at your local library .. or you used to be able to..

At present BS5385 is just a standard and not a regulation but it is the standard that we should be aiming to tile to..

All qualifications like NVQ's and Diploma's are based around BS5385..

Thanks Dave. I know there's no approved doc (which I'm up to date with), but as I'm now taking on paid work again I just wanted to refresh myself on the current standards.

Just done my Part P & 6129 earlier this year Gary so I've been reading up on standards. Not sure if I've got much on 8000, you're right it is the standrds of workmanship covering all trades. I'll have a dig about and see what I've got. If I find anything I'll pm to you.

ISO9001 is management generally I think, I'm guessing it's not related to this 8000 though?
