    Default Shower Cubicle

    Hi all
    I have to build a shower cubicle on Monday ready for tiler on Tues Customer is looking for cheapest option Shower tray will be 1200 x 760 (wall opening is 1360 so will stud from both sides) What would you guys advise to use to board the studs, previous construction was std plasterboard.

    Yep.. I agree deffo a good backer board.. but ok this cost with the customer first..

    I can buy the board from local builders merchant at £10 a sheet (12mm) about twice the cost of std board How would I go about cutting & fixing boards ?

    Cut with a grinder and fix with screws as PB.. wear appropriate PPE..

    Could plasterboard and tank the shower area
