    Default What would you charge?

Ive just priced a 42m kitchen/dining room floor using 600x600 tiles, and quoted xxx a metre, and the customer said that it was way too much. I was supplying the addy and grout and thought it was a reasonable price.

should not quote prices in an open forum but,
    £xx a m2 inc addy and grout

20kg adhesive = 3m2 in full bed tiling (serrate floor and tile due to large format) £xxx per m2
    5gk Grout = 10m2 @2mm joint = £xx over the job.

at £xx per m2 it was a steal for the customer, anywhere in this country!

Most of my work is in and around Edinburgh, so maybe not the best comparison But i would be no less than £xxxper metre plus materials and that's just the starting point. The rate would go up depending on what prep would be involved and access to the site. £xx.00 per metre sound like a great price to me, if i was the customer.
