1" gap between bottom of plasterboard and shower base

Totally new to this game.

Had to rip off 3 rows of shower enclosure tiles at the base of my shower on 2 walls and replace a small area of damaged plasterboard which I have done.

3 questions

1) There is roughly a 1" gap between bottom of plasterbard and top of shower base unit lip which had some form of plaster/cement on it to extend the plasterboard to the base of the shower which I have removed and now need to replace. What is the best product to use for this? I have bought some blue hawk ready made plaster to do this - Is this OK or should I be using something else like filler/cement ???? I plan to use BAL primer everywhere before tiling.

2) The area where I have removed the tiles and kept the original board is all smooth now but is pretty much through to the raw plaster as the top brown paper has came off. I dont want to replace with new plasterboard and was wondering is it OK to tile straight on here after using bal primer??

3) Will some additional coats of primer on the exposed plaster 'build up' that area so it is the same depth as the existing tiled area (due to the brown paper being removed)

i cant reeally think of anything to replace the 1 inch gap but would recommend replacing the plaster board if the brown paper has came off as this would tend to break away over time unfortunately and make the possibility of the tiles coming off the wall tomuch of a risk!
not what you wanted to hear but better safe than sorry
