Unfinished , unhappy
I have just had to pass over a job I was doing for a friend because of other work commitments which I m a little unhappy about. My friend has told me that the other tilers asked why I hadn't started at the wall, well I know I m new to all this, so was I incorrect to cut in at all walls?

Re: Unfinished , unhappy
No you were spot on to cut into the walls. Walls are rarely plumb and starting at the corner could cause real problems.

Re: Unfinished , unhappy
job was 10 sqm dining room floor with new partition wall which I knew was not true, and with a radiator with pipes into the floor to contend with and 600x600 tiles. I had laid all the tiles but couldn't get back to grout, left around half tile on two walls and approx450 on other walls
