No, just make sure th Aga has been off for a few days, and use flexible adhesive.

No.
As ceramic tiles are fired to such a temperature the are fine!
However make sure your adhesive is a flexible type for the movement with temperature and leave a gap from the AGA to the tiles so there is no conductive heat.
A lot of glazes will craze with time/heat and this is a inherrant feature of ceramics.
There are a few tile types that will not be suitable ie Space tiles from Fired Earth without using an epoxy adhesive.
Make sure its off for a day before you start! And leave off for at least another day to set.

I tiled around our aga 2yrs ago now, 10x10 trav and it was switched on. No probs.

i did a swimming pool for lord sainsbury in them when we got on site they looked crap then they changed and it looked fab!!
