Question what finish between wall and floor ??

    Hi Guys

first time on here and hope i can get an answer to my probaly quite simple question:

I am having my property renovated and am looking for that clean line and contemporay look, we have decided to have the entire ground floor tiled with 60x60cm porcelain tiles.

we would really like to avoid having skirting on the ground floor so wondered if anyone knew of a beading or finish that will join the floor tiles with the newly plastered / panted walls other than skirting ??

    your help is greatly appreciated

    joe

Why not use a 100mm tile cut as skirting..

you could cut the porcelain tiles to make a skirting and match the floor

as Dave for me, 100mm tile skirting. Maybe use a nice brushed steel trim to finish

cheers guys.....to be clear i'm no diy'er !! so please excuse the obvious questions

100mm tile upskirt ?? is this an off cut of the tile i will be using on the floor ?

if so the problem with this is that i will only get two polished edges off each tile and it will be bloody expensive.

is there no brushed steel effect beading that will join the floor with wall....?

    thanks again

your right that you will only get 2 from the 1 tile but you can also keep the cut tiles and that should give you a head start, the only thing that springs to mind at the moment would be a chrome square edged trim or listello
why not put the skirtings boards back on over the tiles?

Dural do a full range of perimiter trims but they are not cheap and your walls will have to be nice and staight

Possibly a quater round chrome trim fixed to the wall with the floor tile cut up to it?
    Tricky but effective.
