Tiling steps
Ok chaps and chapettes i've been to look at a job today 25 sqm uncalibrated slate in opus pattern in the kitchen and utility room. Fairly straight forward, however there are 2 sets of steps in the utility room. I've never had to do any steps in opus before, any advice, do's don't etc?

Re: Tiling steps
IMHO steps should be identifiable from the main floor design so as not to cause a trip hazard.
Put an edging/strip of the slate tile to show a change in the level.
Use something to highlight (subtle) the steps.
You can still follow the Opus design through - just allow the brain to notice the steps.
Of course it may not be acceptable to your customer so ask them to check their home owners insurance!
