Default painted walls

Hi, quick question lads and lasses....

bathroom walls, previously tiled on what looks like emulsioned walls. walls have now been sanded down...
Do I need to prime the walls (ordinary ceramic tiles will be going on), and if so, is it an APD primer?

Sorry for what probably is a basic question, but am a newbie!

Thanks a lot

Brindle

Yes the walls still need to be primed with acrylic primer, if you have been sanding them down i would give them a quick wash down with water before priming, just to remove the dust. BAL APD will be fine for priming.

Also if you find the sandpaper doesn't remove the paint fast enough try a wire brush its great for emulsion and gloss paints..........dave..
