    Terry,
Do they actually stipulate you MUST be able to do your own S&C screeding to get into Oz?
Neale (Sir Ramic) will be able to advise if they do a lot of that down there....

Most tilers in Oz do there own screeding and fixing to mud bases.. as they call it..

A tiler will need to install his own shower bases to wet rooms, so knowledge/ability to screed is probs a must..

As for courses, not summit i have looked into as i can screed enough to get me by ok..

    Try

    Doncaster College.
    CITB
    Stamford College for Further Education.

Not sure any of them do just a screeding course but they all do construction courses of various types so you never know. I did my concrete technology at Doncaster many moons ago.

I could sort a flowing screed course but I guess that is probably not much use in Oz.

Thinking about it as well it might be worth talking to Tarmac to see if they do anything. They are the UK's largest floor screed supplier after all.

    Hi Terry,

I know this won't help with your situation, but I went to two separate one week courses at the TCNA facility in South Carolina. I did this about 14 years ago, and it was the best investment I ever made in my business because of the work we've been able to do since then. One course was for floors, and the second was for walls.

I hope you can find the course you need because you'll end up being able to do jobs that others pass on because of the problems with the substrates.
