Need new toys!!!!
Hi guys...hope someone can help with this one!!! I'm looking at treating myself to a new manual tile cutter as the one I have just now struggles with 10mm porcelain and porcelain seems to be a major player at the moment. I've looked at the Rubi range which seems vast to say theleast and also had a go with the big clinker but the cheap price makes me think it can't be that good. I need something that will cut 600mm easily and may also get a smaller one as a big cutter is a bit OTT when doing 10 x 10 kitchen tiles.
Hope everyone is getting plenty of work out there and managing to keep the pounds rolling in...mine seem to be rolling in OK...but the wife and kids seem to roll them out even faster!!!!.
Thanks in advance for any help given

Re: Need new toys!!!!
Hi mate I will get some stick from the Sigma guys, but for me Rubi TX 700 for larger tiles, TS 40/50 for smaller. This will start the Rubi vs Sigma thing all over again. Good luck

i would try a sigma very robust and will last you years, once you get the hang of it you will never look back........(and they dont fall apart like rubis)

Re: Need new toys!!!!
Hi Everyone,
I've been using a Montolit that belonged to a friend for the past 6 months. I just setup on my own so I had to get myself one too. My friend said he had his 5 yrs, with the same wheel and it broke everything he came across.
Can anyone show me some pics or links to a sigma or tomacanic. I like to read about the technical specs.
What is the breaking strength of the monty vs rubi? I beleived the monty was better than the rubi 600, but not sure about the 700. Anyone know for sure? Or I'll be doing some more research tonight.

Thanks for the link doug. I can see the rubi's are both the same but it doesn't give all the stat's for the monty. Will look in again later.
