    job im on at moment , 300m2 walls on to render white 6x6 british ceramics ,what a mare the tiles sizes vary so much.it does,nt help that the render is poor as well, the clark of works is over the moon , says the last job the tilers could,nt keep them in line

    I hate british tiles, far too much size variation. I think it's time British Standards adjusted permissable tolerance values

    ive always found the calibration poor on british made tiles

    Agreed...once apon a time 'British made' meant quality. If we can't compete on price wouldn't it be good to be able to compete on something?

    Using British Ceramic Tiles yesterday, size differences and shading ( Grey fleck ) . Walls not too bad but still a mare to make look good.
    Used some last year from same company but different tile, the shading was like night and day when grouted, You couldnt tell while fixing though.

    had same prob a while back wi shading , once grouted , contractor was ok about it
