Hi Roamer,

My first job was through a company that rents houses and we (me and work mate who both done tiling course ) thought we were turning up to do bath splashback but when we arrived it was already tiled (splashback) but he had shower fitted and needed same tiles putting up above and around shower and towards window etc.
Probably would have took professional tiler 90 minutes but took us around five hours cos we had to cut into existing trim then get corner pieces to match then wall was out and take tiles back off to cut etc etc but in the end the job was right and learned a lot. Never do a rush or crap job cos that way you'll learn sod all just do best you can.

Cheers Steve.

Speed comes on later. Do a good job, and then they recommend you. BTW, now a 5m2 shower tray will take me about 4 hours with 6x6 tiles, less time with larger, but I now have that experience behind me. I ALWAYS grout the next day, unless I use rapid set adhesive.
