gluey waxy stuff on every tile
The tiles i have just done a bathroom with all have 4 dobs of this stuff on them. When ive had this before it has just been dried glue that brushes off easily. This stuff doesn't. Do i have to use thinners or similar prior to grouting to remove this? Thanks in advice.

Try a fine sharp blade or hot water

Re: gluey waxy stuff on every tile
Thanks whitebeam but the tiles are not smooth they are grooved like a pair of cordurys for want of a better description. so the blade will not work.

Re: gluey waxy stuff on every tile
Sounds like the transit wax has stuck to the face instead of the back of the tile, a short sharp jolt with a non sharp object should shift it.

as whitebeam says, try soaking them in hot water to soften the transit wax, you'll probably be able to flick it off with your thumbnail then

Or hair drier? I tend to lay them and take it off after if its troublesome. That way you get a bit of help with gravity and it saves picking though each tile

I use a plastic scraper for these..
...like the ones you scrape ice off your windscreen with.
