Default filling holes in concrete floor

The plumbers has had to chase out some copper pipes that were laid in my concrete floor. Probably 4 inches deep, and 4 foot long. How do I fill them? The area is in a doorway, so will have heavy traffic. I have a 4-1 readymix bag ready to go - do I need to pva the hole first, or just wet the sides of the hole? Ta.

Thanks, can you break down what an SBR slurry mix 3/4 :1 is?

Is it a 4:1 mix of cement/sand with SBR in it? How much SBR? Ta

Hi Al, are the pipes still exposed? If so you need to wrap them up mate, cement based products will attack them and could cause leaks.

Because you are going to cover it with tiles.

to fill the trench I'd use a rapid set flexible adhesive mate, that way there's no delay in waiting for your infill to dry and cure

An sbr slurry mix I do with cement and sbr about 50-50, fairly wet just to make sure the new screed bonds to the existing floor.

Don't leave the slurry to dry where you repairing, have some screed mixed up then slurry, then lay screed so it bonds together.

You got there before me whitebeam. Thanks. So NEAT SBR with cement. The hole is 4 inches deep and 4 foot long.

I've had a few answers to this from builders and forums - which is right?

    1. Dry mix of gravel sand cement
    2. Fill with leveling compund
    3. SBR slurry mix
    4. SBR slurry then screed over top while still wet
    5. 4:1 mix poured in after wetting the sides.

A cup full of sbr then add cement to bulk out a little but not to stiff and mix thoughly.
