do i need an expansion joint of any type on a floor i'm laying next week? it's ufh then slc on solid concrete, tiles are 600 x 600 porcelain (on flexi addy of course) room is approx 60m2 (L - shape) 42 ft at its widest. many thanks

how do you suggest doing one? i've never done one . the concrete s been down for years in case you think its still curing. thanks

I would suggest more than 1 expansion on that size area,You can buy ready made expansion joints,schluter do good ones,failing that use silicone instead of grout in selected areas obviously the silicone would have to match the grout colour.

i would try and add it at the point of the L if possible where it makes 2 different squares,if it's going to be obvious and the schluter is out of the question then a mapei grout with matching silicone might be your best option
